Highlights of this Group Travel tour

If you love
sharing your experiences with like minded travelers. The theme of this safari is photography. Whether you are traveling alone or with friends its good value, and a great way to meet new people. While itineraries are pre-planned there is some flexibility and you'll have plenty of privacy. This group safari will appeal to travelers of all ages who enjoy meeting new people as well as seeing new places.

Kenya is home to an astonishing array of wildlife and landscapes, and is a game viewer's paradise. This shortFlamingoes trip includes visiting the Amboseli National park at the backdrop of mount Kilimanjaro, the glittering lakes of the Rift Valley and the rolling savannah of the Masai Mara - made famous by the incredible yearly migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras. Kenya's birdlife is also amazingly rich, with over four hundred species at the Rift Valley lakes alone; the rosy-pink view of the flamingo population on Lake Nakuru is particularly spectacular. Apart from Amboseli, we stay in only two bases to minimize travel and maximize game viewing. Sentrim camp at Amboseli is an ideal place to relax after an overnight flight. We also stay at lake Elementaita to explore Lake Nakuru National Park, the best small park in East Africa with a large concentration of rhino. The Masai Mara fulfils all expectations of endless plains teeming with the hunters and the hunted, steep escarpments and other prolific game.

Best time to go
All times of year are possible but there are two rainy seasons – Nov and April/May. There are positives about traveling during rainy season as it doesn’t rain all the time and there are virtually no other people in the wildlife parks. Perhaps best times are June, July, Sept, Oct, Jan, Feb. August and Dec are great weather-wise but get busy as peak holiday season.

How this holiday makes a difference
We are running this theme safari as a special Classic Kenyan Safari with focus on wildlife with an emphasis on photography. While our objective is to get the perfect photo shot our guides will always maintain an appropriate distance from the game, allowing the animal a suitable distance to avoid agitation.
There is of course always a temptation to get closer but we recommend you take the most powerful lens for your camera. Highlights of this trip include the opportunity to photograph endangered rhino at Nakuru and the prospect of staying at Kicheche Mara camp. A bush hideaway in Kenya welcomes you to a different world, a world centered at the heart of the African wilderness that is the Masai Mara.
