
The
Porini Kenya Safari Camps offer visitors the experience of
staying in small, high quality safari camps located in exclusive
wild life conservancies in some of the finest big game areas in
Africa. Here you will escape from the crowds and experience the
African wilderness without the presence of other tourist
vehicles and with the personal attention of qualified safari
guides. Our conservancies offer excellent game-viewing as well
as escorted walks and night game drives.
Porini Lion Safari Camp is located in the exclusive 20,000 acre
Olare Orok Conservancy
situated along the banks of the Ntiakatiak River, a seasonal
river with some permanent hippo pools near the camp. Transfers
are from the airstrip to the camp.
The
Lion Safari Camp
With 10 luxury guest tents the camp is very exclusive, giving
you a real 'in the bush' experience. The tents are very spacious
and have private verandahs along the length of the tent,
providing a secluded and private 'space' for you to relax and
enjoy the beauty of this African wilderness. Each tent has
en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and hot showers. Food is
excellent with fresh baked bread and high quality meals prepared
by the camp Chef.
Activities including game drive, walks, night drives and
sundowners are included in the price with transport in
traditional open-sided Landover 4 wheel drive safari vehicles.
There is also the opportunity to book a Hot Air Balloon Safari.

Detailed Safari to Porini camp:
Duration: 3
nights/4 days
Day 1
Depart Nairobi Wilson Airportat 10 am for your 50 minute flight
into the heart of the Masai Mara National Reserve. You'll be met
at the airstrip by your safari guide from Porini Lion Camp in
open-sided 4x4 safari vehicle to transfer to Porini Lion Camp in
the adjacent Olare Orok Conservancy, arriving in time for lunch.
In the afternoon you will go on a game drive in Olare Orok
Conservancy, stopping for a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint,
followed by a night game drive to look for nocturnal animals.
Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Awake at dawn to the natural sounds of Masai Mara's birdlife.
After an early breakfast you will have a full day "on safari" in
the Mara Reserve with a picnic lunch, on the look out for the
Big Cats. Return to Porini Lion Camp in the late afternoon for a
shower, dinner and overnight.
Day 3
After early morning tea in your tent you will have a dawn game
drive in the Olare Orok Conservancy on the lookout for the Big
Five! Return to camp for breakfast followed by a morning nature
walk across the plains escorted by Masai warriors returning for
lunch. In the afternoon you will go on a game drive in the
Conservancy stopping for a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint,
followed by a night game drive as you head back to camp for
dinner and overnight.
Day 4
Early morning walk with Masai warriors or game drive in the
Conservancy, followed by breakfast. Then depart on the flight
back to Nairobi, arriving around 12.15 pm.
