Olonana is located in the Masai
Mara, the heart of Kenya's big game country.
14 spacious en-suite tents
border the banks of the Mara River where the resident hippo
spend their days wallowing. A wide range of game viewing and
cultural activities are available and the great wildebeest
migration is present in the Mara from around July to October
each year. Olonana earned a silver award from Ecotourism Kenya
for our innovative wetlands and tree-planting projects and the
mini-spa and pool further mark Olonana apart.

On a private stretch of the Mara
River at the foot of the impressive Siria Escarpment.

The main dining room and veranda
commands a dramatic stretch of the Mara River providing the

Game
Drives
The Mara is a fabulous place for
seeing big cats and all of the big five, a variety of plains
game and over 300 bird species. From around July to October,
there's the greatest show on earth - the wildebeest migration -
when grunting herds of wildebeest and zebra rush across the
rivers between Tanzania and Kenya, attended by crocodile, lion
and cheetah.
Cultural
Interaction
We work closely with a Masai
village which we help support by offering employment and
donations to various community projects. Visit the village for
an insight into their ancient customs and still traditional way
of life.
Spa
Between activities relax at our
mini-spa which offers a range of treatments from facials to body
massages. We use worldwide recognized Africology and French
marine-based Thaigo products.
Additional
Activities
Take a balloon safari ending with
a champagne breakfast or book a trip to Lake Victoria with the
option to go fishing and visit the fishing village.
