Mutamaiyu House sits upon a hill giving spectacular sceneries of the savannah. Regarded by guests as "Heaven upon a Hill" this dazzling family-owned home is given this name after the age-old grove of winding olive trees which flourish all-around the house.
The house features a plush living room, raised ceiling decks and a big dinning area located in a choice viewing spot for the waterhole beneath in which night and day presence of wildlife provide an excellent spectacle. A brief stroll over the flawless lawns leads to a cliff-top luxurious pool and pub having incredible scenery.
Mutamaiyu pleasantly provides accommodation to twelve visitors in 6 African design cottages, primarily thatched with traditional "makuti" (palm leaves) above a vaulted timber structure. The roomy cottages, all having en-suite bathing rooms (containing both shower and bathtub) include a cushy relaxing area having a log fireplace.
Helena Mortensen grew up on Mugie and has also been hosting and cooking in Kenyan resorts for several decades prior to coming back to Mutamaiyu. This lady and her staff pleasure themselves within their eye for detail in a soothing setting.

Utilities:
* There are also inverters in all the cottages for regular power source while in the evening Mutamaiyu operates on a generator.
* The power sockets are typical English three pin (220-240V) that are works with cellular phones and camera chargers.
* There exists cordless internet connection in several the rooms
