Concealed beneath primeval trees and deep within the forest, are just 10 elegant tents lining the meandering banks of the Mara River. The camp is situated along the banks of the Mara River, in the heart of the Masai Mara Game Reserve, offering unrivalled game viewing right at your doorstep. Here, you will be the personal guest of the camps manager, who will meticulously take care of all your needs.

 

Accommodation

 

The ten cosmic, deluxe tents feature super ‘king size’ beds shaped from antique fallen olive trees with Victorian style baths.

During the day, meals are served on the banks of the Mara River under the giant evergreen trees. Dinner is served by candlelight in the open dining tent or outdoor by the river with complimentary wine is served with dinner.

IL Moran offers an ideal hide-away for honeymooners and couples seeking a very unique safari experience with privacy.

Governors’ Il Moran Camp Rates include full board accommodation, 3 meals per person per night booked, & all soft drinks, beers and house wines, laundry, together with applicable VAT thereon, and transportation of tourists. Transportation of tourists will be in our custom built 4WD vehicles. It includes all air strip transfers and three excursions daily into the famous Masai Mara National Reserve and surrounding areas, to local Masai Villages (Manyattas), and to / from the local schools and other community and conservation projects we support and which guests may wish to visit. Rates exclude Champagnes, selected fine wines, spirits and liqueurs, personal expenses, Manyatta entrance fees and Park Fees. Only children over 8 years of age will be accommodated in this camp.
