About Samburu Serena Safari Lodge

Located on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River, in the center of the Samburu National Reserve in Kenya's rugged semi-arid Northern Province is Samburu Serena Lodge. A landscape of endless skies, dust-red plains and palm-fringed rivers, this refreshingly rustic lodge is renowned for the timeless beauty of its landscape and the serene tranquillity of its setting. A lodge that epitomizes the robust rhythms of African riverfront life. With Mount Kenya looming in the horizon, the landscape is home to a variety of rare game, and is also inhabited by hundreds of different bird species.
Inspired by the architecture of the indigenous Samburu tribe, the lodge blends into its natural environment by adopting the use of native materials. Thatched cabins built using exotic African woods offer a relaxing atmosphere.
All guest rooms have private verandas with uninterrupted vistas of the languid river and the wildlife it attracts, as well as the countless crocodiles that make the waters, their home.

Located some 320km North of the Nairobi, within the Samburu community - pastoralists, the lodge is also strategically located for visits to the neighbouring parks of Buffalo Springs and Shaba National Reserve.

Cancellation Policy
Reservations that are canceled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in numbers are subject to cancellation and no show charges.

Note: We also offer safari, car rentals and flight bookings which we can organize for you with your hotel/lodge enquiry.
Park/Reserve gate opens at 0600am and closes at 0600pm
CHECK IN TIME / CHECK OUT TIME
Check in time at hotels is 1100hrs.
Early check in will be charged at extra night.
Late arrivals should be advised in advance to avoid auto cancellation of the reservation.
In case check in is delayed than the expected arrival date, the delay will be treated as no show.
Check out time is at 1000hrs.
Day room use can be arranged at extra fee and is applicable from 1000hrs to 1800hrs.
Room use after 1800hrs will be charged at full night rate.
