The Kenya Map shows a land of vast contrasting topology ranging from savannah plains, mountains, deserts and tropical coastline. Central to Kenya's topography is the Great Rift Valley - the geological feature that is splitting the continent and has shaped some of Africa's most dramatic  and awesome wilderness regions.
Home to the legendary Masai Mara and the great wildebeest migration, Kenya is a wildlife paradise with as many as twenty game reserves and national parks scattered throughout the country.
The reserves traverses the country from the arid and semi-arid northern  regions of Lake Turkana and Samburu through to the montane forests of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare ranges and down to the vast plains of the Masai Mara and Tsavo to the south. More recently, private and community owned wildlife conservancies have come up especially in the northern frontier district of Kenya - Laikipia. With wildlife densities only challenged by Masai Mara, the conservancies offer unique night game drives, bush walks, and an opportunity to learn about conservation efforts.
The lakes of the Rift Valley such as Lake Nakuru host breathtaking images of millions of flamingo's feeding in the shallows while wildlife graze on the shores.
The Kenya coast is of the most dramatic and pristine coastline on the continent with islands such as Lamu dotting the Indian Ocean as can be seen on the Kenya Map. The most prominent wildlife park in the coast is Tsavo National Park where the Chyulu Hills and Mt. Kilimanjaro can be viewed from the park in clear weather. Other outstanding features include cave and geological formations, Shaitani lava flows and Mzima springs underwater observatory. Accommodation in Tsavo is available in a variety of game lodges, tented camps, campsites and self services bandas.
