9 Days Rwanda Safari

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival at Kigali Airport – meets and greeting, have safari briefings by our Representative and then Relax. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 2: Kigali - Nyungwe

Start of safari from Kigali heading to Nyungwe National Park via Butare; where you visit the KING’s PALACE and the RWANDA NATIONAL MUSEUM. After Butare, head to Gikongoro and visit of MURAMBI GENOCIDE MEMORIAL CENTER and then proceed to Nyungwe. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 3: Nyungwe

Chimps trekking in the morning. After lunch, visit of GISAKURA TEA FACTORY, overnight at the hotel

 

Day 4: Nyungwe

Walk on the second African Highest Canopy or Natural walk for water fall in the morning. After lunch time, Visit of Colobus monkeys, overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 5: Nyungwe - Kibuye

After breakfast, hit the roads to Kibuye; in the beautiful lake resort of Lake Kivu. Lake Kivu is one of the greatest Lakes in Rwanda, and is in the Albertine (western) Rift valley, a part of the Great Rift Valleys. The lake is a 2650 Square kilometer freshwater expanse and the largest of all the lakes that fill the valleys of Rwanda. Spend the afternoon by the Lake shores. Overnight at the resort.

 

Day 6: Kibuye – Musanze

After breakfast, drive to Musanze (ex- Ruhengeri) the base town for mountain gorillas. Visit of IBYIWACU CULTURAL VILLAGE; spend your evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 7: Golden Monkeys trekking

After your morning wake-up call and breakfast, transfer to report to the park headquarters, for Golden monkeys trekking formalities and briefing by the Volcanoes National Park’s guides on the Golden monkey etiquette. After Golden monkey trek have lunch at the lodge and then enjoy the Scenic. Overnight: at the lodge.

 

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking - Kigali

Transfer to Virunga National park for the first Gorilla trekking, where you have to be at ORTPN Office at 7AM for a short briefing then Gorilla trekking. After Gorilla trekking transfer to Kigali. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 9: Depature

After breakfast, have Kigali city tour including Gisozi Genocide memorial site/museum. Thereafter proceed to the airport for your departure flight.
