Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara
|
0730 hrs: Depart Nairobi
and drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve through the floor
of The Great Rift Valley.
Along the way stop briefly at the Rift Valley View point
to take in a breath taking view of the floor of the
Great Rift Valley with a distant view of Mt. Longonot,
Mt. Margaret and the pyrethrum plantations.
Arrive at the Masai Mara
in time for lunch at a Ashnil Mara Camp.
1530 hrs - go for an
afternoon game drive till dusk. Dinner and overnight at
Keekorock Lodge.

Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve |
At the break of dawn,
you can take an optional balloon safari over the plains
of Masai Mara to enjoy the vista. On landing you will be
treated to a heart-full champagne breakfast in the bush
before taking a game drive back to your lodge.
Also on this day, take a
cultural visit to a local village to learn about the
contemporary Masai Culture.
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance
that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of
animals have been recorded here. You will easily see
lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests,
zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs,
buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant.
It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular
event of the natural world takes place. This is the
annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra
from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and
pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of
the savannah- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and
vultures.
Later in the afternoon
take a game drive before returning to camp for dinner
and overnight at Keekorock lodge.

Day 3: Masai Mara Lake Nakuru |
After breakfast, depart
Masai Mara and proceed to the famous lake Nakuru
national park, often referred to as the Pink Lake for
its great flocks of flamingos. Besides birds there is a
variety of wild game. Arrive in time for lunch. Take an
afternoon game drive.
Lake Nakuru National park lies in the Great Rift Valley,
140km north-west of Nairobi. The ecosystem comprises of
the lake, surrounded by mainly wooded and bushy
grasslands. The park supports a wide ecological
diversity with Flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other
water birds being the major attractions of the area. The
ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of
mammals including the endangered Black rhino and
buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering
over 400 species.
Flamingo Hill is a small and exclusive Tented. The tents
are furnished with the understated luxury required by
the modern traveler. Decorated in calming safari tones,
natural woods, wrought iron and crisp cottons each tent
has been meticulously planned to maximize comfort.
The Lake Nakuru National Park is also home to a huge
colony of flamingo and the endangered black Rhino.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Amboseli |
0630: Take a
Pre-breakfast game drive. Return to lodge for breakfast.
After breakfast depart for Amboseli arriving in time for
lunch. Amboseli National park is at the foot of Mount
Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest point. At 1600hrs take an
afternoon game drive till dusk.
Amboseli is a photogenic park best known for its
unrivalled views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and the local
elephant population. There are over 1000 elephants in
the parks eco-system, featuring some of the largest in
Africa.
Oltukai Lodge directly overlooks Africas highest
mountain - Mount Kilimanjaro and the Amboseli plains.
The eastern boundary is home to several families of
elephant and is known to be amongst the best spots in
the world to watch elephants.

Oltukai Lodge.

Spend full day in this
photogenic park with morning and evening game drives. On
this day, you will take a cultural tour visiting a local
Maasai Village to learn about the contemporary culture
of the Maasai people. Enjoy a sundowner in the evening
as you return to the lodge.
Attractions in Amboseli include: Large Herds of
Elephants, Mt. Kilimanjaro the highest free standing
mountain in the world forms a back drop for
photographing, Observation Hill which allows an overall
view of the whole park especially the swamps and
elephants, buffaloes, hippos and a variety of water
fowls like pelican, Egyptian goose etc.
Dinner and overnight at Oltukai Lodge.

Day 6: Amboseli - Arusha Serengeti National
Park |
0730hrs: After breakfast
depart for the border town of Namanga 1 hr drive. Go
through immigration and customs, before you cross into
Tanzania.
Then Proceed to Arusha
arriving in at around 1130hrs
1230hrs: Board a flight
to Kirumuru Serengeti Camp in Serengeti National park.
On arrival you will be picked and transferred to the
Camp.
This land is justifiably famous for its huge
concentrations of wildlife, especially the big cats, as
well as being the stomping ground of the Great
Migration, a massive accumulation of 1.5 million
wildebeest, 200,000 zebras and 350,000 gazelles
stretching their legs over 1,200 miles in an annual race
to find enough water and green grass for their survival.
During Aug, the migrating heard is still in the Masai
Mara across.
Kirurumu Serengeti Camp is a luxury mobile camp, moved
seasonally to take best advantage of the vast Serengeti.
The camp is used as a base, a spring board for an early
morning game drive, a break for a sumptuous lunch, a
respite from the heat of the day and the finale to a
days adventure where stories can be swapped around a
fire. As a small and intimate camp the staff is on hand
just to look after a very limited number of guests and
so the level of attention and service is always
excellent.

Kirumuru Serengeti Camp.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park
|
Spend Full day in the
park with morning and evening game drives. All meals at
Kirumuru Serengeti Camp.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park Ngorongoro
Conservation Area |
Pre-breakfast game
drive. After you will be transferred by road to
Ngorongoro Conservation area by our guide with a game
drive with picnic lunch.
On arrival, descend into
the crater for a half day crater tour with game drives.
Later in the evening,
ascend the crater. Dinner and overnight at
Ngorongoro Serena lodge (Full Board)

Day 9: Ngorongoro Arusha - Kilimanjaro |
0800hrs: Depart in the
morning for a drive to Arusha before being transferred
to Kilimanjaro airport to board your flight to Nairobi
where you will connect with your homebound flight.
