Day 1: The Ark – Aberdares National Park |
Depart Nairobi in the morning for the Ark in Aberdare’s
National Park (it resembles Noah’s ark). Lunch at
Aberdare Country club then embark on the half
hour drive to the Ark. There is flood lit game viewing.
A day, different from any other a magical experience
awaits in the Aberdare National Park. Your home is a
Noah's Ark. Your neighbors are the animals. Crossing the
bridge to the Ark, the adventure begins.
Elephants dominantly rule the waterholes and salt
licks. There are other animals which also come to drink
water such as lions and hyenas; they have to contend
with elephants seeing them off at great speed. Some
animals such as Leopards are shy and mostly seen under
the night-time floodlight.

Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve |
After breakfast depart for Samburu passing through hush
farmlands, cross the Equator where you can stop for
pictures. Proceed to Samburu located in a rugged semi
desert region. Lunch. Afternoon game drives.
Samburu game reserve is home to some of the rare
wildlife species including the Beisa oryx, Reticule
Giraffes, Masai ostrich and the Gravy’s zebras.

Ashnil Samburu Camp.

Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve |
On this day, spend the full day in the park with morning
and afternoon game drive. You will also get a chance to
visit a local Samburu village for a cultural visit. The
Samburu people are close relatives of the Masai tribes
men and share a lot of similarities as both depend on
livestock for livelihood with nomadic lifestyles.

Day 4: Samburu – Lake Nakuru National Park |
0700hrs: After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National
Park in the Great Rift Valley passing through the arid
lands and the highlands of Kenya. Arrive in time for
lunch. Take a game drive in the park before retiring for
the rest of the day. The Lake Nakuru National Park
commonly referred to as the pink lake is also home to a
huge colony of flamingo and the endangered black Rhino.

Day 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve |
0730hrs: Depart for Masai Mara after breakfast. Passing
through the floor of the Great Rift Valley and proceed
to Masai Mara Game Reserve.
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance
that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of
animals have been recorded here. You will easily see
lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests,
zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs,
buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant.
It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular
event of the natural world takes place. This is the
annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra
from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and
pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of
the savannah- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and
vultures.

Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve |
Spend Full day in Masai Mara reserve with morning and
afternoon game drive.
At the break of dawn on this day, you can opt for a
balloon safari over the plains of Masai Mara to enjoy
the vista. On landing you will be treated to a heart
full champagne breakfast in the bush.
Also on this day, we take a cultural visit to a local
Masai village to learn about the contemporary Masai
Culture.
All meals and overnight at the Ashnil Mara Camp.

Day 7: Masai Mara - Nairobi |
Pre- breakfast game drive, after breakfast depart for
Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.
