Day 1: Nairobi – Sweet
Waters Game Reserve (Ol Pajeta Conservancy)

0700 hrs: Depart from Nairobi in the morning for a 3
hour drive through Kenyan farm lands to Nanyuki en route
to Olpajeta Conservancy. On arrival in
Nanyuki, Stopover at Lilys Pond. Lilly pond is dissected
in the middle by the equator and among the attractions
include: the demonstration of the Coriolis effect
- a deflection of moving objects when they are viewed in
a rotating reference frame on either side of the
equator, Art gallery – see inspirational art from East
African Artists, Open Studio – See artist at work and
restaurant.
After lunch at Lilys pond take a 45 minutes drive to Ol
Pajeta.

Day 2 & 3: Ol Pajeta

Spend these 2 days with plenty of adventure activities.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy is 100,000 acre wildlife sanctuary
which has taken game viewing and environmental knowledge
to a whole new level, and is ideal for those wishing to
get a bit more out of their safari.
The Bush camp gives a unique safari experience,
described by guests as ‘the real Africa’, offering
interactive conservation activities, whereby guests are
given the opportunity to experience modern wildlife
conservation first-hand. Likewise, for those seeking a
nature retreat and wishing to distance themselves from a
busy schedule, rest, relaxation and independence are all
equally encouraged.
Activities include:

Day and night game drives, Guided bush walks,

Meet Ol Pejeta Researchers and learn about wildlife
data and monitoring,

Monitor Elephant, Rhino and other wildlife with
resident rangers and researchers,

Use radio-tracking equipment, e.g. to find the
resident cheetah ‘Toki’ (featured in BBC documentary
‘Toki’s Tale’)

Track lions with the Ol Pejeta predator-monitoring
ranger,

Track Rhino (by special request only, max 2 guests
per patrol),

Take part in training walks with the Ol Pejeta
tracker bloodhounds,

Learn about the special techniques of ‘conservation
agriculture’ practiced on the ranch,

Learn about Boran and Ankole cattle pastoral care,
and pioneering integration techniques with wildlife,

Watch wildlife from a hideout overlooking a
waterhole, or even spend an exciting night there
(with dinner, drinks, bedding, and night-vision
monocular),

Visit a local primary school or medical clinic
supported by Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Day 4, 5: Ol Pajeta -
Masai Mara Game Reserve (Elephant pepper Camp) |
On Day 4 at 0800hrs - After breakfast, you will be
transferred to Nanyuki airstrip to catch your flight to
Masai Mara.
1000hrs: Depart Nanyuki aboard your flight for Masai
Mara. You will arrive at Masai Mara at 1100hrs. Here you
will be met by a representative of Elephant Pepper and
transferred to the camp. Spend the rest of the days
taking in the abundance in nature that Masai Mara has to
offer.
Elephant Pepper Camp is situated in the middle of the
protected Mara North conservancy wilderness area. Small
and exclusive, the camp is located away from other
lodges, in the heart of the African bush. The spacious
canvas tents are comfortably furnished, featuring en
suite bathrooms with eco-friendly flush toilets and
traditional safari showers.
Nothing rivals sitting around the campfire enjoying the
sounds of the African night. Extended game drives make
game viewing a complete experience. Elephant Pepper Camp
brings people back to nature – no traffic, no permanent
structures, just the sights and sounds of the African
bush.

Day 6: Masai Mara Game
Reserve (Elephant pepper Camp) |
0930hrs: After early morning activities and breakfast
you will be transferred to Mara Shikar airstrip to board
the Nairobi bound flight arriving at 1215hrs.
On arrival, you will be met by our representative and
transferred to Carnivore restaurant for 2 hrs lunch and
later transferred to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta
Airport.

opens in mid June. For inquiries during this period, an
alternative luxury camp will be used in the Masai Mara.
