This 4 days
safari covers the Masai Mara game reserve – the prime game reserves in Kenya,
Lake Naivasha where you can take an optional boat ride and have a chance to walk
amongst wild animals and the flamingo infested Lake Nakuru National Park
commonly referred to as the pink lake. This brief wildlife safari captures the
rich heritage of Kenya as a safari destination and promises to give a visitor to
experience the sheer abundance of wildlife species as well as ‘The Big Five”.
Day 1: Masai Mara Game
Reserve
0730hrs:
Depart Nairobi in the morning for the journey through the Kenyan highlands
stopping briefly at the escarpment view point to take in the undulating floor of
The Great Rift Valley as far as the eye can see. Descend into the floor of the
Rift valley as you drive to Masai Mara game reserve arriving in time for lunch.
Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Kichakani Tented
Camp. Full Board.
Day
2: Masai Mara
Game Reserve
Spend the
full day in the vast plains of Mara search for the big five as you explore the
famous Mara reserve with picnic lunch. Also on this day, you will visit a Masai
village and learn about their contemporary culture.
Masai Mara
is a spectacle to behold with over 450 species of wildlife recorded here. During
the month of April and May, resident wild animals can be seen around the vast
plains. From Mid June to October the migrating herds of wildebeests from
Serengeti in Tanzania become the predominant activity in the park with hundreds
of predators hot in pursuit.
Meals and
overnight at Kichakani Tented Camp. Full Board
Day 3: Masai Mara Game
Reserve - Lake Naivasha
0600hrs:
Depart Masai Mara for Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley arriving in time
for lunch at Lake Naivasha Country club. After lunch, you will be taken to the
lake and take an optional boat ride (paid for directly) to the other side of the
lake where you will take a nature walk and get a chance to take photographs
amongst wildlife including Zebra. Later return to the Lake Naivasha Country Club
for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Lake Naivasha -
Lake Nakuru – Nairobi
0630hrs:
After breakfast proceed (1 ˝ hr drive) to the famous lake Nakuru National Park,
often referred to as the ‘Pink Lake’ for its great flocks of flamingos with
picnic lunch. Besides birds there is a variety of wild game. Spend the rest of
the day in the park with picnic lunch.
Lake
Nakuru is the perfect place to experience one of the world's largest
ornithological spectacles, the Pink Flamingoes, or a rich concentration of
wildlife including black and white Columbus monkey and is also a famed Rhino
Sanctuary.
1400hrs:
Depart for Nairobi arriving in Nairobi at 1630hrs. On arrival, you will be
transferred to the Airport to board your outbound flight for your next
destination.
