Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through the
floor of the Great Rift Valley, to the Masai Mara
Reserve. Stop briefly at the Rift Valley view point.
Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken.
Dinner and overnight Mara Sopa Lodge.
Masai Mara is a spectacle to behold with over 450
species of wildlife recorded here. During the month
of April and May, resident wild animals can be seen
around the vast plains. From Mid June to October the
migrating herds of wildebeests from Serengeti in
Tanzania become the predominant activity in the park
with hundreds of predators hot in pursuit.
Full day viewing across the grasslands of Mara. Morning
and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at
Mara Sopa Lodge.
This morning, you can take an optional balloon safari
across the plains of the Mara before landing and being
treated with a Champaign breakfast. Return to the lodge
with a game drive. Later visit a local Masai Village
(fee paid for directly) before returning to the lodge
for lunch. Take an evening game drive. Meals and
overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.
