Day 1: Nairobi –
Sweet waters Game Reserve |
0700hrs: Upon arrival in
Nairobi - you will be met by your safari guide who will
take you for breakfast at Red Court Hotel. Immediately
after breakfast depart for a 3 hrs drive to Sweetwater’s
Game Reserve. On arrival in Sweet Waters Game Reserve,
check in and rest before taking late lunch and
proceeding for an afternoon game drive.
Sweetwater’s Game reserve lies astride the equator and
is dissected in the middle by the equator.
Sweetwater's Game Reserve, with magnificent views across
the plains to the snow capped peaks of Mount Kenya. The
luxury tents overlook the waterhole, floodlit by night,
providing excellent and secluded rarely seen game
viewing. This game sanctuary is home to all the big five
game, and has the highest ratio of game-to-area of any
park or reserve in Kenya. At Sweetwater's, there is
plenty to do. Game drives at Sweetwater's are indeed a
pleasure.

Day 2: Aberdares
National Park (Tree Tops
Hotel)
|
Depart Sweet Waters in the
morning for in Aberdares National Park.
The
Treetops is the original tree lodge, and is world famous
for its location facing a water hole and a salt lick in
the Aberdares National Park as well as its historical
royal connection. In 1932, its first visitors gingerly
climbed the wild fig tree supporting the two-room tree
house. Treetops welcomed a young English girl, its most
famous visitor. This young English girl climbed the tree
as a princess one afternoon, to descend the following
morning as Queen Elizabeth II, her father, King George
VI, had died during the night. Mount Kenya's breath
taking view is visible on clear mornings.
Treetops have open balconies for viewing and
photography; two photographic hides at ground level at
either end of the lodge allow really close shots of
unsuspecting animals.
There is an optional
buzzer in every room that alerts the guests if something
special were to show up at night.

Day 3: Aberdares
National Park - Lake Nakuru National Park |
0700hrs: After breakfast
depart for Lake Nakuru National Park in the Great Rift
Valley passing through the highlands of Kenya. Arrive in
time for lunch. Take a game drive in the park before
retiring for the rest of the day in Flamingo Hill Tented
Camp. The Lake Nakuru National Park is also home to a
huge colony of flamingo and the endangered black Rhino.

Day 4 & 5: Masai
Mara Game Reserve |
After Breakfast, depart
for Masai Mara Game Reserve. This remarkable day takes
us to the land of the Masai, a cattle-herding people
still proudly aloof from western civilization. Our
destination, the Masai Mara, is a magnificent park and
home to Kenya's richest concentration of wildlife. On
morning and afternoon game drives, we view some of
Africa's largest prides of lion, herds of zebra,
antelope, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, cheetah and
hyena.
At the break of dawn on
day 5, you will take a balloon safari over the plains of
Masai Mara to enjoy the vista. On landing you will be
treated to a heart full champagne breakfast in the bush.
Also on this day, take a
cultural visit to a local village to learn about the
contemporary Masai Culture.

Today we depart Masai Mara
early in the morning and cross into Tanzania via the
Isebania border crossing. Arrive at Speke Bay lodge on
the shores of Lake Victoria for lunch. Afterwards, take
an optional boat trip on the lake or a nature or bird

Day 7 &8:
Serengeti National Park |
This morning, our journey
continues into the great grassland plains of Serengeti
National Park. During two full days of exploration in
the Serengeti, we follow plains game and their attendant
predators on their daily pursuit and survival and end
our day with a sundowner. On one of the days, we shall
enjoy a night game drive to explore the true African
jungle in the night. During morning and afternoon game
drives the next day we seek herds of large animals
including giraffe, buffalo, wild beast, zebra and
Antelope.

Day 9 & 10 :
Ngorongoro Conservancy |
Leave Serengeti early in
the morning for Ngorongoro conservancy area. On the way
visit Olduvai Gorge– an important archeological pre
historic site of. Then proceed to Ngorongoro, one of
Africa's most magnificent wildlife theatres. The area
boasts of the Ngorongoro crater measuring up to 12 miles
across and its prairies are a haven for an estimated
30,000 large mammals, including lion, elephant, hyena,
hippo, wildebeest, baboon, gazelle and the endangered
black rhino. The conservancy offers a superb game
viewing option. The following day descend to the crater
floor to spend a full day game viewing with a midday
break for a picnic lunch. Later in the afternoon ascend
back to the Lodge for the evening. Kudu Lodge.

Day 11: Ngorongoro
– Lake Manyara
|
After breakfast drive to
Lake Manyara National Park and take a game drive before
breaking for lunch at Migunga Tented Camp. Take a rest
before taking an afternoon game drive till dusk. Dinner
and overnight at Migunga Tented Camp.

Day 12: Lake
Manyara – Arusha - Nairobi |
Depart Lake Manyara in the
morning for Arusha where you will board a shuttle bus at
1400hrs and depart for Nairobi arriving at 1930hrs. On
arrival, you will be dropped at the Airport to board
your homebound flight.
